What Is Manus Cue?

Many agent tools act through your own accounts. Cue's announced approach is different: each agent gets separate communication and payment resources. In the Manus 2.0 launch post, each Cue agent is described as getting "its own email, phone number, wallet, and computer." The agent operates as a separate identity that works for you.

Based on the announcement and early coverage, a Cue agent can:

  • Send messages and emails from its own address
  • Answer phone calls and leave you a summary afterward
  • Pay for things within a budget you set
  • Work with everyday services, such as ordering at a restaurant through a QR code

You can also put several agents in a group. One researches, another shortlists, another drafts, and they hand work to each other in a shared chat while you make the final call, as Runtime Wire describes it.

Some things are still unclear. Runtime Wire notes the announcement "does not explain in detail how users approve individual transactions, restrict what agents can do with their email or phone identity, or review actions after they occur." If you plan to give an agent a phone number and a payment method, those details matter, so it's worth watching for Manus's documentation.

What's New in Manus 2.0

Cue sits on top of the same infrastructure as the main Manus agent, which got its own set of upgrades.

Cascade is a new in-house agent harness. Manus says it "keeps a project light from the start" and adds capabilities only as the task needs them. The headline numbers come with a qualifier worth keeping: "In one tested configuration, Cascade used 23.2% fewer tokens, finished tasks in 28.2% less time, and cost 32% less to run than our previous system." Implicator.ai points out that Manus didn't describe how it ran the test and that the figures haven't been independently verified. Read them as company-reported results.

Cloud Computer is a dedicated environment you can buy for projects that outgrow a single session, like a multiplayer game server or an automation that runs around the clock.

Automations have moved from simple scheduled tasks to event triggers. A new email, a calendar event, a Slack message, a Notion update, or a change in ad performance can start a task.

Manus Studio is the redesigned desktop app. It brings together documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, slides, websites and code, and adds a video editor for short clips and a game development environment. The update also adds remote control from your phone and a Computer Use mode that lets Manus operate applications and files you approve.

The launch also marks a restart of sorts. Meta acquired Manus in a deal reported at roughly $2 billion, and in April Beijing ordered the deal unwound. The company announced in August that it would return to operating independently. Manus 2.0 and Cue follow that return to independent operations. The Information framed Cue as a rival to Muse, Meta's own personal agent app.

How to Get Access to Manus Cue

Cue is in early access. According to Manus:

  • Invite code: MEETCUE, available to a limited number of early users on a first-come basis
  • Platforms: web, desktop and Android
  • iOS: pending App Store review at launch

Manus Cue Pricing and Manus AI Pricing

For Cue, the answer right now is short. Cue is free during early access. The September 28 launch post doesn't say what it will cost after that, and it doesn't give Cloud Computer pricing either.

For the main Manus agent, the pricing page (checked September 29, 2026) shows three paid monthly options:

Annual billing is listed as saving 17%. Every paid tier shows 20 concurrent tasks and 20 scheduled tasks. Team and business plans are on a separate page. Manus bills in credits, so what you actually spend depends on how heavy your tasks are, and prices can change.

Can Manus Cue Trade Crypto?

Nothing in the launch materials says it can. The September 28 post doesn't say what kind of wallet Cue uses, and coverage of the launch, including Implicator.ai, found no details on whether it holds crypto, connects to a card, or works some other way. The launch post doesn't mention crypto trading support or any exchange integration, and Cue has no connection to LeverUp.

Cue's wallet feature still raises a broader question. A spending budget suits errands like bookings and bills. For leveraged trading it covers only part of the risk: a budget on its own doesn't set maximum leverage, position size, or a loss limit, and Manus hasn't explained how Cue's budget would apply to trading at all. Before letting any budgeted agent near leverage, a trader would want at least:

  1. A key that can open and close positions but can't move tokens out of your account, and that you can revoke without the agent's help. AI Trading Agents Need Scoped Permissions explains why.
  2. Hard limits in code, not in the prompt: maximum leverage, maximum total notional, a list of allowed markets, and a daily loss stop.
  3. Logs of every order the agent submits, reviewed by a person, starting at small size.

On LeverUp, the documented option for the first item is 1CT Hosted Agent mode. The owner authorizes a separate key that can submit only the trading actions you grant. In the developer docs' words, authorization "grants permission to trade, not to move tokens."
